The program provides capital reimbursement grants to businesses expanding or relocating operations in Massachusetts facilities and requires a dollar-for-dollar (50/50) match from the applicant. Awards are expected to range from $500,000–$2,000,000.

The application deadline for all three is October 1st.

CELEBRATING QUINCY’S SMALL BUSINESS LEGACY

Mayor Tom Koch today announced the launch of the City of Quincy Legacy Business Program, an initiative designed to honor our long-standing small business owners for their contribution to the fabric of our community.

The Legacy Business Program recognizes businesses that have operated in the City for more than 25 years and have demonstrated commitment to serving our residents, providing local jobs and for culturally and socially enriching our community. To qualify, eligible businesses must not be part of a national or regional chain or franchise.

Community members are invited to nominate their favorite legacy business and share stories of how they contribute to the City. A business can nominate themselves, or be nominated by friends, family and customers.

The program participation and recognition aims to help preserve establishments that residents know and cherish. An official City registry will be created recognizing these businesses as well as marketing promotions to help highlight the value of each business.

Nominations will be accepted from August 19, 2026 through September 21, 2026. Nomination forms can be found at https://www.quincyma.gov/businesslegacyapp
