City of Quincy Planning and Community Development Office is one five cities that is receiving an award this week at the National Community Development Association conference in Pittsburgh.

We celebrate CD Week each April, highlighting how CDBG impacts our Quincy community. It is a large undertaking that requires the support and coordination of so many Quincy organizations, and we are thankful to be in a city that truly embodies community.

We were honored to award 5 recipients the 2026 John A. Sasso National Community Development Week Award 🥇

This award recognizes those for their outstanding efforts to celebrate National Community Development Week in 2026 and is given annually to local governments that demonstrate innovative advocacy for the CDBG program, with the award named in honor of NCDA’s founder, John Sasso.

The 2026 John A. Sasso National Community Development Week Award recipients are:

✔️ Hamilton County, OH
✔️ Pasco County, FL

Small business owners in City of Quincy, we want you!

City of Quincy recently entered into a partnership with Initiative for a Competitive Inner City to launch their business accelerator program right here in Quincy at Quincy College.

ICCC is a non-profit that provides executive education, coaching, technical assistance, and access to capital to more than 3,000 business owners across the U.S. and Canada each year. They partner with policymakers, funders, small business organizations, and community leaders to facilitate private sector investment and create opportunities for small businesses and local economies. This program is free of cost to business owners.

Program kicks off June 24th.
