Mudslide Causes Utility Outage at Aldi Shopping Plaza; Power Restored, Water Service Underway

QUINCY, Fla. — A mudslide triggered by yesterday's torrential rainfall damaged utility lines and the water main serving the Aldi shopping plaza, causing a temporary loss of electric and water service to the area.

City of Quincy utility crews responded promptly and have fully restored electric service. Crews remain on site and are actively working to repair the damaged water main and restore water service to affected customers as quickly as possible.

The City thanks businesses and residents in the area for their patience as repairs continue. No injuries have been reported.

Residents with questions or who wish to report a utility concern may contact the City of Quincy.

Updates will be posted at www.myquincy.net.
