Quincy Partnership for Youth - QPY

Quincy Partnership for Youth - QPY Our Mission: Using prevention strategies, Quincy Partnership for Youth fosters a network that nurtures a healthy, drug-free, and successful community.

Our work is funded through the Washington State Health Care Authority and the City of Quincy. We’re a community coalition made up of parents, businesses, schools, students, local leaders, and other caring adults who want to keep youth safe and supported. Our main goal is to prevent substance use before it starts by building strong connections, sharing helpful resources, and encouraging open conver

sations. We focus on supporting families and creating a community where young people can make healthy choices. Our work is funded through the Washington State Health Care Authority, the City of Quincy, Thriving Together NCW, the Wenatchee Valley Medical Group Community Support Program, and Grant County Health District's Youth Cannabis and Commercial Tobacco Prevention Program (YCCTPP). Private, tax-deductible donations may be made through the Columbia Basin Foundation and designated to Quincy Partnership for Youth. Mailing address:

The hardest part of talking with your kids is often just getting started.

A lot of parents want to talk with their kids about tough topics, like alcohol, drugs, or peer pressure, but don’t know where to begin. The good news: you don’t need the “perfect” words to make a real impact.

💬 Why start now?
Because kids who hear clear, consistent messages from their parents are more likely to make safer choices. Even if they seem distracted, they *are* listening.

✨ How to get started:
1. Keep it simple: “I’ve been thinking about how to keep you safe…”
2. Use real moments (something you saw on TV or in the community)
3. Ask open-ended questions and listen first

You don’t have to have all the answers, you just have to start.

Thank you to everyone who came out for Raising Safe Digital Kids 💙

We appreciate the parents, caregivers, and community members who showed up and made time to learn and talk together about supporting kids in today’s digital world 📱📱

We had important conversations about the apps and trends kids are using, what to look out for online, and simple ways to start conversations at home. Our panelists also shared what they’re seeing in their work and took time to answer questions from families. This kind of shared learning helps build stronger families and supports prevention efforts across our community.

Thank you again to Quincy School District, Washington State Health Care Authority, Quincy Police Department - WA, Renew, and North Central ESD, and CAFE, who helped make this event possible! We’re grateful for this community!
