If you could preserve one story from your life for future generations, what would it be?

We're excited to partner with Memoirs by Maureen to celebrate more than 100 individuals and organizations throughout Adams County who have shared their life stories over the past five years.

At the Historical Society, we work to preserve the stories of our community. Whether those stories are 200 years old or still being written today, they help us better understand who we are and where we've come from.

Join us for an Open House on Monday, June 22, from 5:00–7:00 PM at the History Museum on the Square as we celebrate the people, families, and organizations who have taken the time to document their memories and legacies.

The display will remain on view throughout the week, offering a unique opportunity to explore the stories that make Adams County such a special place to call home.

As our campaign comes to a close, we're asking for your help one final time.

Every day, visitors walk through our galleries and discover the stories, artifacts, and people that shaped our community. Students participate in educational programs that bring classroom lessons to life. Families make memories while exploring history together. None of that happens without exhibits.

Exhibits are more than displays, they are powerful educational tools. They spark curiosity, encourage exploration, and create meaningful connections between people and the past. They transform artifacts into experiences and stories into lessons that inspire learners of all ages.

Thanks to the generosity of supporters like you, we've already made great progress toward our $5,000 goal. But we're not there yet. Today is your opportunity to help us cross the finish line.

Your gift will support exhibit development that directly enhances educational programming and expands our ability to engage students, families, and visitors throughout our region.

Together, we can create exhibits that educate, inspire, and connect our community for generations to come.

Please consider making a gift today.

Day 3 of our campaign and we're 37% of the way toward our $5,000 goal!

Every exhibit creates opportunities for discovery, learning, and connection. Whether it's a traveling exhibit, a local history display, or an interactive experience for students, exhibits help bring stories to life and make history accessible to everyone.

Your support helps us create engaging educational experiences that inspires critical thinking and connects our community to its past.

Thank you to everyone who has already contributed. Together, we're building exhibits that educate, inspire, and encourages conversation.
