America’s Flag Day marks the Second Continental Congress’ adoption of the first U.S. national flag on June 14, 1777. The first flag featured the same 13 red and white stripes we see today. However, the number and arrangement of stars have changed as the number of states has increased over the centuries. The current flag has remained the same since 1960.

At 12:51am Mount Pleasant Firefighters were dispatched to provide mutual aid to the City of Gretna Fire Rescue Department for a reported motor vehicle crash on Solomon Dairy Road East of Glory Road.

Upon arrival personnel found a single vehicle that appeared to have rolled over and was on it's side. Personnel were not able to find any occupants of the vehicle. So a check of the area was conducted with no occupants found. We remained on scene to assist the tow company due to the crash being in a curve.
