Reminder: all SAIL locations will be closed today. Happy Labor Day!

All SAIL offices will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026, in observance of Labor Day.

Disability should never be a barrier to opportunity. This Labor Day, we’re celebrating workers with disabilities and fighting for workplaces where everyone has the opportunity to work, thrive, and build independence.

The Agency is thrilled to share that our Associate Director of Support Services, Amanda Kostyk, has been accepted into this year’s class of Leadership Adirondack!

Leadership Adirondack, presented by our partners at the Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce, is a multi-month intensive leadership program where participants learn more about our region, develop their leadership skills, and connect with other local professionals doing important work throughout our community.

Tonight, Amanda and members of the SAIL leadership team joined the Chamber, LADK students and alumni, and community partners for an opening event aboard The Morgan at The Sagamore Resort.

We’re so incredibly proud of Amanda and everything she’s accomplished here at SAIL, and we can’t wait to see what she takes away from this experience. The Agency is committed to investing in our people because when we invest in our team, we invest in the people we serve.

September is National Su***de Prevention Month.

For people with disabilities, the barriers are real — isolation, discrimination, poverty, inaccessible healthcare and mental health services, lack of transportation, and being denied the independence we all deserve. These barriers can increase the risk of su***de, and they need to be part of the conversation.

If you’re struggling, call or text 988. For people who are Deaf, hard of hearing, or experiencing hearing loss, accessible resources are available at 988lifeline.org/deaf-hard-of-hearing-hearing-loss/.

We're so thankful for SUNY Adirondack's support through our Business Membership program.

At the end of Spring 2025, 39 percent of students registered with SUNY Adirondack's Accessibility Services Office had an overall GPA of at least 3.0. The office offers a number of supportive services, separate from accommodations, including organizational coaching, time management workshops, executive functioning assistance, and subject-specific tutoring.
