Marines! We have officially crushed our Fiscal Year 2026 retention campaign because Marines want to stay Marines. I know not everyone will stay on Active Duty, and that’s okay.

But your service doesn’t have to end.

The Direct Affiliation Program (DAP) gives you a way to move straight into the Marine Corps Reserve with no break in service. You can keep wearing the uniform while gaining more flexibility in your day-to-day life. This is your sign to talk to your Career Planner before your next career decision!

“Restoring Trust. Reopening the Door to Serve.”

The Department of War is reinforcing its commitment to Service Members impacted by the rescinded COVID-19 vaccine mandate, taking decisive steps to make things right.

Key updates include extending reinstatement eligibility through 01 April 2027 and reducing the required service obligation for returning members from 4 years to 2 years, providing greater flexibility for those choosing to return to service.

Additionally, previously separated Service Members may have their records reviewed to restore benefits, and those already reinstated may be eligible to modify their service agreements under the updated policy.

“Plan Early. Move Smart. Arrive Ready.”

The Marine Corps has released updated guidance for all Marines and families executing a Permanent Change of Station (PCS) in 2026, ensuring every move is informed, supported, and mission ready.

From mandatory PCS workshops and sponsorship coordination to household goods planning, PPM options, and overseas screening, this guidance outlines the critical steps needed for a smooth transition.

Peak season is competitive, and early action is key. Marines should begin planning immediately upon receipt of orders, coordinate with their Career Counselors and sponsors, and leverage resources like Military OneSource and the Information, Referral, and Relocation (IR&R) Program to stay ahead.
