AFOSI welcomed Lt. Gen. David Tabor, Deputy Chief of Staff for Plans and Programs, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, June 2, to the Russell-Knox Building for a senior leader engagement with Brig. Gen. Amy Bumgarner and the AFOSI command team.

During the visit, he received mission updates, discussed enterprise resourcing, and gained insight into AFOSI’s operational efforts supporting the Department of the Air Force and national security priorities. Thank you for visiting, Sir!

Join us in congratulating AFOSI’s newest graduates of the Basic Special Investigators Course! The latest class of newly minted Special Agents graduated May 22, during a ceremony at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers in Glynco, Georgia.

Brig. Gen. Amy Bumgarner, AFOSI's commander, presented graduates with their badges and credentials, marking a major milestone in their journey to serve as investigative professionals.

Join us in congratulating Lt. Col. Adanto D’Amore on receiving the Bronze Star Medal for meritorious achievement while serving as Deputy Commander, Office of Special Investigations, 24th Expeditionary Field Investigations Squadron, at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar.

According to the citation, D’Amore led 158 personnel across 11 units in a 21-nation area of responsibility. The citation also highlights his leadership while protecting personnel and sustaining counterintelligence support under extreme threat.

Congratulations, Lt. Col. D’Amore, on this well-earned honor!

On Memorial Day, AFOSI senior leaders joined the local community at the Veterans Memorial Park in Brunswick, Georgia, for the 2026 Memorial Day Ceremony.

Brig. Gen. Amy Bumgarner, AFOSI commander, attended alongside veterans, families and community members. Col. Andrea O’Connor, commander of the U.S. Air Force Special Investigations Academy, delivered remarks honoring the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

Special thanks to the USAFSIA color guard for their support during the ceremony. Together, AFOSI honors the sacrifice and enduring legacy of America’s fallen heroes.

Yesterday, Pearl Mundt, AFOSI's executive director, hosted Polish Brig. Gen. Jarosław Stróżyk, Chief, Służba Kontrwywiadu Wojskowego, and representatives from Poland's Military Counterintelligence Service at the Russell-Knox Building in Quantico, Virginia, to bolster our relationship and reinforce the importance of continued cooperation in addressing evolving security challenges.

AFOSI helped welcome our Polish counterparts to the F-35 community, highlighting the growing importance of collaboration in protecting advanced capabilities. Thank you for visiting!

The Air Force Office of Special Investigations hosted a senior noncommissioned officer professional development seminar May 4-8 in San Antonio, Texas, bringing together senior leaders from around the agency, including Brig. Gen. Amy Bumgarner, AFOSI’s commander, and Chief Master Sgt. James Hoy, AFOSI’s command chief.

The annual, weeklong event featured leadership discussions, mentorship opportunities and attending at a Basic Military Training graduation at Joint Base San Antonio - Lackland, all culminating with an induction ceremony recognizing the agency’s newest master sergeants.
