Training Notice!

The Quakertown Fire Department will be doing Water Rescue Training at the Brick yard Ponds on Heller Road this evening. Crews will be there from 7pm to approximately 9pm.

1 extricated after Crash - Quakertown Borough

At 9:04am Bucks County 911 dispatched Rescue Box 87-71 for a reported Auto Extrication in the 700 Block of W. Broad Street. Chief 27(Sellersville) who was in the area arrived and reported one vehicle overturned and with one patient confined. Battalion 17 arrived establishing Quakertown command. Rescue 18 arrived and quickly stabilized the vehicle alongside Engine 17’s crew whose was simultaneously stretching a protection line. Crews removed the passenger door to gain access to the patient. Once inside crews packaged the patient and transferred them to awaiting EMS.

The extrication was marked complete and companies were available within the hour.

1 extricated after crash - Richland Township

This morning at 9:23am Bucks County 911 dispatched Rescue Box 36-02 (Richlandtown Fire Co.) for an Auto Extrication at the intersection of California Rd & Richlandtown Pk.

Engine 36-1 arrived and reported a 2 vehicle traffic accident with one patient entrapped and began stabilizing the vehicle. Rescue 18 arrived and began performing a roof and side removal to gain access to the patient. Rescue 56 (Richland Township Fire & Rescue) also on-scene assisted with rescue operations. The patient was removed and care transferred to awaiting EMS approximately 10 minutes after arrival.

Rescue 18 cleared the scene within the hour.

Dumpster Fire - Quakertown Borough

This morning around 7am the QFD was dispatched to a reported dumpster fire in the 100 block of S. West End Blvd. First arriving chiefs reported a 20 yard dumpster well involved with no exposures. Ladder 18 arrived and stretched a 1 3/4” attack line, quickly knocking down the fire. Engine 17, Engine 17-1 arrived and began supplying Ladder 18 while assisting with overhaul to ensure all remaining fire was extinguished.

QFD units cleared the scene within the hour.
