The following post hits very close to home for us, so please forgive the more personal tone of this post:
For those who have followed us for some time, you know that is the Big Tent issue of the Liberal Party USA
As some may know, most of us were formerly with the party, departing in 2022. We have a friendly inside joke about tapping the sign (The Simpsons reference) when it comes to discussing our former affiliation.
For the past 6 months an activist that we know from our days with the , Izzy Aly has been in a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention center. Specifically, the Moshannon Valley Processing Center in Phillipsburg, Pennsylvania.
Izzy was detained at the airport after returning from Egypt, where he was settling his deceased father’s estate. Izzy has been here LEGALLY for over a decade. He is the owner of a well established business, and outstanding contributor to society.
He had experienced difficulties with renewing his passport for his return to the States and his wife, who is an American Citizen.
While in custody, he was diagnosed with Stage 3 Kidney Failure. He was not informed of this diagnosis until March from tests performed in JANUARY.
Those who have been able to communicate with him, which has been extremely difficult even for his attorney, have relayed that he is being denied proper medical attention.
He has even reported blood in his urine, a sign for anyone that requires immediate medical attention, especially someone in
Izzy is not the only one who has experienced this, many have reported similar treatment. No one should be denied urgent medical care, even if they’re “illegal”.
This is a textbook case of violations that we would have condemned and taken action against other countries for. Especially if it was one of our own citizens!
The media has finally begun to pick up Izzy’s story, and we need your help to continue to spread the word and help him get the medical attention he needs.
There are also funds set up to help cover his legal expenses. We will share those below, along with any media coverage we can.
For all the things that the Republican/ party claim we are, this administration is doing the complete opposite.
We are once again calling on currently sitting elected officials from our party counter-parts, the PA Democratic Party and Republican Party of Pennsylvania to put everything aside, and come together and FIX this problem together. , this is a time to put PEOPLE over loyalty to a single man.
We cannot continue to allow people to die, on our dime, in government custody any longer! The power of the people is far greater than the power of the government.
This country and all of its great achievements have come because of (text book definition).
If they will not take a stand, we will continue to put candidates on the ballot who have the spine to say what needs to be said and do what must be done remove you from office with the power of the people’s votes.
