Although National Nurses Week has come to an end, our appreciation for our colleagues never will. During the week we were able to visit the nurses and staff of Putnam Hospital, Hudson Valley Hospital (with our partners at the Putnam County Bureau of Emergency Services) and St. Lukes-Cornwall Hospital to deliver a small token of appreciation. Thank you for all you do and for who you are.

Earlier today, Putnam Medics 3 and 10 responded with Mahopac Fire & EMS to a report of a patient that had fallen from a third-story window.

Medic 3 and EMTs from Mahopac treated the patient on scene and determined that his injuries required transport to a trauma center via helicopter. The patient was quickly transported to a nearby field where a landing zone had been established and had just landed to pick up the injured patient.

Thank you to the Mahopac Fire Department and the Carmel Police Department for their assistance.
