Purcellville Vice Mayor Ben Nett was arrested Wednesday by Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office deputies following a grand jury’s review of evidence.

Maybe a White Christmas?!

All the cards are lining up for a real great chance to cash in on some pre Christmas Winter Weather. We look to be heading into a pattern that can deliver the goods. A few pros are saying that this may be the best December setup since 2009. At any rate, at this time next week, we should be tracking hopefully some threats. As i mentioned before, a great pattern dosent always yield a good snow event for us(Ive seen many where the south gets hit) but it does put us in the game. buckle up! ETA--Still somewhere around Dec 7-8 and beyond

Just so you know, this will be the LAST DMV connect in Purcellville. Richmond is redirecting DMV connect staff to fill the staff shortages in the permanent locations. Since Purcellville no longer has an in-person DMV, after December we will need to go to a permanent location like the Leesburg Office.

32ND STREET SIDEWALK


PURCELLVILLE, Va. November 18, 2022 — Beginning the week of November 21, 2022, the Town’s Contractor, A&M Concrete Corporation, will commence construction on the 32nd Street Sidewalk project. This project will install a missing section of sidewalk on the western side of S. 32nd Street from K Street towards the 7-Eleven on West Main Street, where it will tie-in to the existing asphalt path installed by Blue Ridge Estates. Project funding is from Loudoun County Capital Improvements Program funds awarded to the Town for completing pedestrian linkages.

Work will generally occur Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM. The Contractor will utilize flagging operations and single lane closures during working hours. Total construction time is expected to last 1 month. This schedule may change due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Residents are asked to be aware of work zones and alert for changes in vehicular and pedestrian traffic patterns in areas where work is being performed.

PURCELLVILLE, Va. November 16, 2022 — Due to a limited number of trucks available today, the Town’s refuse and recycling contractor, American Disposal, will not be able to collect all refuse, recycling, and yard waste today. American Disposal will be returning to town tomorrow to collect missed stops.

American Disposal crews will be working throughout the day today to pick up as much as possible.

Heads up!

PURCELLVILLE, Va. – November 16, 2022 — Dominion has informed the Town of Purcellville they will upgrading their transformer located at the elevated Water Tank site at 311 N. Maple Avenue today, November 16th. The work is expected to end no later than 2:00 PM today. During this time, citizens may experience intermittent cellular service disruptions.
