🦟 HOW DO WE DETERMINE WHERE AND WHEN TO SPRAY?
Mosquito control isn’t done on a set schedule. Charlotte County Public Works Mosquito & Aquatic W**d Control uses daily surveillance and data to help determine when treatment is needed.

Our team monitors mosquito activity through:
• 🪤 Trapping and surveillance
• 🦟 Landing rate counts
• 🔬 Disease monitoring
• 📍 Field inspections
• 📞 Resident service requests

When mosquito populations reach established treatment thresholds—or when disease activity is identified—we can take action.

Our approach is smart, targeted and effective, helping protect public health while reducing unnecessary pesticide use.

📞 Questions or concerns? Contact Charlotte County Public Works Mosquito & Aquatic W**d Control at 941-764-4370.

We’re talking stormwater maintenance, roads, traffic signs and markings, mosquito & aquatic w**d control, engineering, solid waste — and plenty more. 🚧🌴

It’s hands-on work. It’s problem-solving. And most importantly, it’s work that makes a difference in our community.
