Congratulations to Franklin Elementary, Lincoln Middle School, and Sunnyside Elementary for being recognized by the Washington School Recognition Program for outstanding performance during the 2024–2025 school year! 🎉

Franklin Elementary was recognized for achievement in ELA, Math, and Attendance Rate. Lincoln Middle School was recognized for growth among students in one or more racial or ethnic groups. Sunnyside Elementary was recognized for growth among students in one or more racial or ethnic groups and low-income students.

This recognition is a tremendous accomplishment, with only 16% of schools statewide earning this honor. We are incredibly proud of our students, staff, families, and school communities whose hard work and dedication made this possible. 💙

Message from the Pullman School District Board of Directors:

The recent Board decision to not extend the superintendent’s three-year contract reflects the range of opinions in our community and a shared interest in strengthening the district, particularly in communication and collaboration. The Board is committed to working constructively with Dr. Maxwell to advance these priorities and support the leadership of Pullman Public Schools. We have initiated a goal-setting process with support from a respected education leadership consultant. The Board is committed to keeping the community informed about Board deliberations, supporting staff and operations, and remaining focused on student success as the top priority for the district.
