There have been some misunderstandings about our library.

Our library is 100% privately owned and volunteer-run. The cost for the catalog system being used there has been paid out of pocket by our volunteers for over a year. We are not in ANY WAY associated with the Fennville District Library, which remains your Public Library.

However, if you would like to borrow some good quality books/movies, we are here to serve you with limited hours since everyone working at the Pullman Free Library are volunteers with full-time jobs and a love of books and our community.

12/21/2022

The library will be closed until New Year's to allow our volunteers a Christmas break.

10/13/2022

The library is closed today due to illness.

We will return to normal hours next week.

Come support the library today from noon - 3pm. We have books starting at 25 cents.

Good news! A donation has been made in Kathaleen Chatterson Waddell’s memory by her family and friends. Kathaleen loved books, bookstores, libraries, and her fond memories of growing up in Pullman. The Pullman Library offers it’s heartfelt thanks to Kathaleen’s family and friends for their thoughtfulness.
In addition to this generous monetary donation, the family has donated this historical book to the Library for all to enjoy. You can purchase a copy at the Old Jailhouse Museum in Allegan.

It is time for an important update.

We apologize for not being able to open as scheduled for the past few weeks.

The reason we have not been able to open is two-fold; first, the incredible heat that we have been experiencing has caused the library temperature to be unbearable since there is currently no air conditioning. This problem is compounded by the fact that our librarian is under care for cardiac issues and has been instructed not to be anywhere where the temperature exceeds 85°.

The library will be open this afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. for anyone who needs to check out books, make copies, use the PC or drop off donations.

We are looking into getting an air conditioning unit for the library to remain open in all weather.
