🚧Pulaski Water Project Update! 🚧
Significant progress continues to be made on the Village of Pulaski Water Project.
All 20-inch transmission main piping has now been installed from the connection point in Hobart to the pressure-reducing station located at the south entrance of the village, across from McDonald's. This station is a key component of the project, as it reduces the transmission line pressure to the Village's normal operating water pressure.
The contractor is currently conducting pressure testing of the pipeline and verifying all tracer wire segments installed alongside the water main. These tracer wires will assist with locating the underground pipeline in the future. To date, the transmission line has been fully tested from Hobart to the Mountain Bay Trail on Kunesh North.
Two critical facilities will control the flow of water within the new system: the booster station located on County Road U near Lannoye Elementary School, and the pressure-reducing station located across from McDonald's. The pressure-reducing station is approximately 90% complete, with only a few control panels and electrical components remaining to be installed.
Construction of the booster station is also progressing well. All exterior components have been completed, interior piping has been installed, and startup testing is expected to begin within the next few weeks.
The project remains on schedule, with the goal of having water flowing to the Village by late July to early August.
