Little Free Libraries of Pulaski

Little Free Libraries of Pulaski There are several little free libraries that have appeared in Pulaski, but some are not easy to find If you can, leave one in return. Read.

Since moving to the area, we've found out that one of the most frustrating things in this city is a lack of easily accessible information. For some reason, people here rely more heavily on social media than anything else. So, in order to make sure that you are able to take advantage of this service, we've opted to go with the flow for now and create a social media page for the little free librarie

s of the area.

1. How it works: Take a book or two or three, whatever interests you. If not, it's okay, take the book(s) anyway. Locations - Ours is at the corner of Victoria and Washington. If you go to About, you can see the exact address. It's refilled daily, as needed. There is another little free library in the middle of the commons at Martin Methodist. If you park by the gym and walk east, you'll run into it eventually. Theirs is bright red. There is a third one on the corner of College and Elm. You won't see it from College street. If you're heading toward the hospital on College, turn right on Elm and it's in front of the second house on the left. That one is red with a little fake flower box on it.

3. Hours - Take a book whenever you need one. They're in easily accessible locations and are never locked. Please latch the door shut when you are done, as this protects the books from the weather. There are no set times.

4. Donations - Yes, you can donate even if the box is full. I do not know about the other locations, but I know that you can bring them here and knock on our front door or place them on our front porch. I take them to empty little free libraries in the area and top them off.

5. Damaged books - If you want to donate damaged books, I can repair them, most of them. It's not a problem.

6. Types of books - Everything. Books range from board books to picture books, YA, NA, fiction, and non-fiction for all ages. You are responsible for making sure that the reading material is appropriate for you or your progeny.

7. If you have any questions, ask! I will update periodically to let you know what some (not all) of the books are that are going into the LFLs that I know about.

I know the door is broken, but the library is full with more books to fill it as there becomes room! My boys fixed the door the best they could, and my husband hasn't had the time to fix it when he's home. Please still utilize the library!

The library at Victoria & Washington is full with kids' books! Chapter, pucture, nonfiction, and more!

Also, if the library is full, and you have books to donate, feel free to leave them on my porch at 440 E Washington St, and I will make sure they get put in when there is space.

Someone stopped by the LFL on Washington at Victoria yesterday evening and added a new selection of kiddo picture books, and someone (maybe the same person, maybe a different person!) added in some inspirational romance and some Amish stories. If these sound like something you'd be interested in, swing by and pick them up today!

Added books to all three LFLs yesterday -
Books included some John Grisham, some Dan Brown, some Danielle Steele, some in the Left Behind series, a copy of Washington Irving short stories published in the 1800s, some Magic Treehouse books, and a host of others. I was a bit scatterbrained and forgot to write down all the titles - sorry guys. There's definitely something for everyone. Stop by and grab some books today!

Just a friendly reminder: You don't have to leave a book to take a book, and you can take more than one! Books are constantly bought for and donated to the LFLs (some get mailed here from all over the United States - I've had a few mailed to me from as far away as Alaska!), so please feel free to take whatever strikes your fancy. They'll be replaced with new ones! Currently have close to 100 books waiting to be put out around town, with more on the way, so please, don't be shy! :)

Someone came by the LFL on Washington and Victoria today and grabbed over half the books! Yay! This means that I was able to put out a bunch more. Here's some of the newest crop that's ready right now for you to swing by and grab:
- Letters of a Woman Homesteader by Elinore Stewart - this book is one of the seminal works of collected letters from a woman living in and settling the western frontier. It's reminiscent of Laura Ingalls Wilder's books, and about the same grade level too!
-Carniepunk - this is a fiction anthology. If you like carnivals, this one's for you, but bear in mind, this one definitely has some adult subject matter in it!
-Crazy Busy by Kevin DeYoung - are you religious? Do you feel like life is getting away from you? This very short book may help you get a grasp on things and stop being so crazy busy.
-Shelf Discovery - a collection of essays on all of the older young adult books that someone growing up in the 80s would have had available. It's a great trip down memory lane for an adult, and it will introduce current readers of young adult books to some older goodies.
-Littlest Bigfoot by Jennifer Weiner - the first book in her young adult series about a middle schooler growing up.
-Littlest Bigfoot, Big City by Jennifer Weiner - the second book in her young adult series about a middle schooler having to move and deal with all the tribulations associated therewith.
-American Psycho by Brett Easton Ellis - you may have seen the movie in the 90s. You may have loved the twisted nature of the movie. If you did, you're guaranteed to appreciate the even more warped book that sparked the movie.
-Zom-B by D. Shen - This young adult zombie book looks at how a kid might react to an outbreak. Bit of gore, bit of violence, but that's to be expected with zombies.

Stop by and grab one or all of them today! There are plenty more just waiting to go out for your enjoyment.
