In 1829, Mr. John Baptist Alexander Thevenot renounced his citizenship to France and became a citizen of the United States of America. He chose to become a community member of Giles County, TN, and live out the rest of his life in the land of milk and honey. He died just a few years after gaining his citizenship.

While processing Circuit Court records from the 1890s, our team stumbled upon a fascinating artifact - a vintage Louisville and Nashville Railroad ticket!
The L&N Railroad was a primary form of transportation during the 1800s, revolutionizing the way people and goods moved across the country. Established in 1850, the railroad played a vital role in shaping the region's economy and culture until its eventual merger in 1982. Interestingly, the railroad had a stop in Pulaski, TN, and in the 1890s, there were a significant number of cases brought against the L&N Railroad, shedding light on the complexities of the era.
