If smoke is thick or becomes thick in your neighborhood you may want to remain indoors and keep your windows closed. This is especially true for those with heart disease, respiratory illnesses, the very young, and older adults.

Smoke is visible in north Pueblo due to a fire on Quartz Rd.

Our office will be closed Friday, June 19th in observance of Juneteenth.

The observance, which marks the day enslaved people in Texas were notified of their freedom in 1865, celebrates the end of slavery in the U.S. and serves as a reminder to advance racial equity in health care, education, employment, housing, and public health.

During last week's meeting, the Pueblo County Board of Health recognized Niko Mora for his persistent support and unwavering dedication to promoting and protecting the health and environment of Pueblo County.

Niko has served as a Youth Advisor for the Communities that Care Coalition and the To***co and Ni****ne Advisory Committee, and has contributed to a number of public health initiatives in his time as an advisor! 💚

🧹 Tomorrow is the day for Community Clean Up Day in Pueblo West ♻️

Join us at 280 E. McCulloch Blvd and please review the site map before arriving so you know where to go for unloading.

Please remember:
• One load per household
• Residents are responsible for unloading their own items
• Event runs until dumpsters are full
• Follow staff directions and traffic control signage
