Due to a discharge of untreated sewage into the Arkansas River, Public Health is encouraging individuals to avoid activities like fishing, kayaking or swimming downstream from the spill through Monday, August 31, 2026.

The spill took place near the wastewater treatment plant on Stockyard Rd, east (or downstream) of Confluence Park.
