Use the Bucket to soak your used fireworks for 24 hours before tossing them in the trash or bin.

Today we kicked off our program with the Pueblo City-County Library District Books in the Park and the Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control

From now until July 4th at any fire station and fire administration office in the city of Pueblo you can pick up one bucket during regular business hours and while supplies last.

We encourage everyone to soak used fireworks in a bucket of water for 24 hours before disposing in a bin or receptacle.

As always fire weather conditions can change from day to day and hour to hour so be aware of any Red Flags warnings before lighting any legal fireworks in the city of Pueblo.

This is great news! Please remember that with higher flows comes more responsibility. Wear your life jackets or find a loaner station to use one for the day. Stay hydrated and always be prepared to go in the water if you have little ones in the current.

We just got word from Pueblo Dam Operations… 500 CFS is the predicted flow for Saturday! 🌊🙌

IYKYK 🤘 With this year’s snowpack and ongoing drought conditions, this is a BIG deal, and we’re incredibly excited to see the river come alive for the Steel City Arkansas River Festival!

Today Station 11 welcomed students from Irving elementary School into our home. We discussed summer safety and enjoyed a tour of the fire house and an apparatus demonstration.

We ❤️ Lindsay and we are very appreciative of all of her hard work on this event! Our swift water rescue team, bike team and tech rescue team will all be out with command staff supporting our community, participants and visitors!

⚠️TRAVEL ALERT⚠️ | Warnings for speeding begin next week on I-25/US 50B in Pueblo

Starting June 30, 2026, drivers exceeding the speed limit in the I-25/US 50B Interchange Reconstruction work zone will receive a warning. Fines in this corridor are not being issued yet.

🚨 Reminder: Civil penalties are already active on state highways in Colorado. The results show that automated speed enforcement is making work zones safer:
🚧 CO 119 between Boulder and Longmont
⬇️Excessive speeding down over 80%
🚧I-25 North between Mead and Berthoud
⬇️Excessive speeding down by 90%
