Representing the Class of 2030, our eighth graders and their families gathered to celebrate a milestone moment: the completion of their middle school journey and the exciting transition to high school.

The annual Continuum Ceremony brought the school community together for an evening of reflection, recognition and celebration. The event featured a shared dinner, student awards honoring achievements and growth, a special choir performance, and the beloved tradition of distributing T-shirts representing each student's high school of choice.

As the Longhorns look ahead to the next chapter, the ceremony served as a reminder of how far they have come and the bright futures that await them. Congratulations to the Class of 2030 as they take this important step toward high school and beyond.

Howdy Longhorn Families~

This is Mrs. Martindale, your proud school principal with the events and reminders for the week of June 1st-June 4th.

This is the final week of school! We are so excited to celebrate all of our amazing Longhorns for their amazing growth this school year! Awards assemblies are as follows:
1st and 2nd Grades - Tuesday June 2nd 8:30-9:45 am in the Goodnight Gym
5th and 6th Grades - Tuesday June 2nd 10:00-11:15 am in the Goodnight Gym
Kindergarten Graduation - Tuesday June 2nd 5:30 pm at South High School
3rd and 4th Grades - Wednesday June 3rd 8:30-9:45 am in the Goodnight Gym
7th Grade - Wednesday June 3rd 10:00-11:15 in the Goodnight Gym
8th Grade Continuum - Wednesday June 3rd. Please remember that tickets are required for this event!

Thursday will be the final day of school and field day! Please reach out to your child’s teacher for field event schedule information. Middle school students will be walking to City Park Pool for their field day. Please make sure that all students return their permission slips for that fun day!

PLEASE take a moment to check the lost and found! It is overflowing with jackets and lunch boxes. All items left at the end of the year will be donated.

Howdy Longhorn Families~

This is Mrs. Martindale, your proud school principal with the events and reminders for the week of May 18th-May 21st.

This is the final push for the Splash Run donations! We are on track to reaching our goal but we need your help to finish strong! Remember, the 3 students with the highest donations will win a prize. Also, the top 3 classes will win an ice cream party and recess! We are also in need of parent volunteers to help make this an unforgettable event for our students. The donation link and volunteer sign up are both on our page. The schedule can be found on the page as well. We can’t wait for this fun event!

This Thursday will be our final Skate Night of this school year at Skate City from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Cost is $7 for admission and $3 for skate rental. A portion of all sales will be donated right back to Goodnight school. This is a family fun event!

The end of the year is right around the corner! There are lots of fun events and activities planned. Please be sure to be in communication with your child’s teacher for details and reminders. Also check the Goodnight page for information.

Remember, we are still taking enrollments for kindergarten for the 2026-2027 school year. For students living in the Goodnight area, enrollment can be completed at the Goodnight Office. Students living outside of the area, parents will need to complete the school choice application on the District 60 website. If this pertains to you or someone you know, just a reminder that spots are limited and will fill up fast!

Please remind your child to check the lost and found. The collection of jackets, lunch boxes and water bottles is continuing to grow! All items left at the end of the year will be donated.

Here is the Splash Run Schedule for next week! Remember, donations are still being accepted and are greatly appreciated! We are so close to reaching our goal. We are also still seeking parent volunteers to make this an unforgettable event for everyone!

Thank you all for the love and support shown to
the entire Goodnight staff last week! The sweet gifts, yummy treats and kind words all helped make the staff know just how much they are appreciated.

This Thursday is wear your own shirt day for $1. PTO will also be selling snacks after school.

What a great week celebrating the incredible people who make Goodnight School shine! From classrooms to cafeterias, offices to playgrounds, every single staff member plays a part in making a difference for our students.
