This National Police Week, we honor the dedication, sacrifice, and service of law enforcement officers everywhere. We are proud to work alongside those who protect and serve our communities every day. Thank you for your commitment and partnership.

This National Police Week, we honor and recognize all the brave men and women who dedicate their lives to protecting our community.
We especially remember the five Pueblo County Sheriff’s deputies who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Their service will never be forgotten.
We remember:

Sheriff John McKee – EOW: 4/19/1918
Deputy W.W. Green – EOW: 10/15/1918
Sheriff Joe Tucker – EOW: 5/2/1950
Inspector Warren Watts – EOW: 6/16/2012
Captain Leide DeFusco – EOW: 8/31/2012

Thank you once again to George and Judi Burgers for the generous donation today of 34 fleece blankets. Our deputies and ACOVA advocates will distribute the blankets to individuals they encounter who may need them.
The Burgers' continued generosity has brought comfort and warmth to so many. We appreciate your thoughtfulness, generosity, and ongoing support.

Imagine needing help… and having no way to call.
No phone. No way to text. No safe way to reach anyone.
For many victims, this isn’t hypothetical—it’s reality.
A donated phone can mean:
✔ Calling 911
✔ Reaching an advocate
✔ Staying connected to safety
It’s not just a device. It’s a lifeline.
Donate your old phones and help someone take the first step toward safety.
📍 Drop-off locations: Pueblo PD & Pueblo West Sheriff’s Office
📅 Through May 1
