Friends, when we arrived at our offices yesterday after the long weekend, we noticed several pieces of trash discarded next to our sidewalk. Before we could get out there to pick it up, it was gone. This gentleman walking his dog was nice enough to pick it up for us. We don't know who he is but we can't thank him enough for helping us in this way. It was really nice and appreciated. The pic is not great, but if you happen to recognize him, please help us thank him.

Our friends, Craig Elliot, Todd Kelly and Kevin Keilbach are back with their 7th annual Amateur Comedy Night and this year the proceeds are being donated to CASA of Pueblo! Tickets are very limited and sell out quickly. The QR Code to purchase is in the comments. We'd like to thank the Jones family for sharing their personal and heartfelt gifts donated to CASA of Pueblo in honor of their son Ragnar. Ragnar passed at the tender age of 14 months. In a loving tribute they wanted to celebrate his birthday by giving gifts to a child who may need toys and clothing. Ragnar would have been celebrating his 2nd birthday today. The family stopped by earlier in the month to deliver gifts. We visited for a short bit and learned what a special little boy Ragnar was. He brightened their lives and he is still loved dearly. Our hearts are with this sweet family today; we know they are missing him everyday, but today a bit more. Thank you for generously giving to another child in his honor; we will make sure to pass along the story of his precious life.

We'd like to thank our friends at Black Hills Energy for building community and partnering with our CASA programs in a winter coat drive. While it is still warm out, the cold months are right around the corner. Please consider bringing warmth to a child who may need a coat during the season. All sizes are needed. Please drop off at our office Monday through Thursday, 9AM-3PM. Coat drive runs from September 1st-October 2.

As the school year starts this week for many of our children we want to give a HUGE thank you to our community for stepping forward and donating much needed backpacks and school supplies. We were able to provide items for nearly every child on our caseloads. A very special thank you to BNI Abundance Builders, Kallen Faris - Modern Woodman and friends, and Grace Life Church for donating backpacks and school supplies. A grateful thank you the Greater Christ Temple Apostolic Church for providing new shoes for our kiddos-now they can step into the new school with pride! Meet Anthony and Kelsa, our July Volunteers of the Month! In early 2025 Anthony connected his partner Kelsa with CASA, knowing she would be a great advocate for children in our community. A year later Anthony followed suit and became a CASA volunteer as well. Although they do not share a case, they share a passion for giving back to their community in meaningful manner. Each demonstrates a thoughtful, compassionate, and caring way as they work with children and families, helping to connect them with supports and resources. We cannot thank them enough for their commitment to the children in our community! A couple that volunteers together...stays together! Congratulations to you both!
