Wonderful day of training for the crew at Station Provincetown! The crew started off their day with a Semi-Annual Physical Fitness Test consisting of a 1.5 mile run, push-ups and sit-ups.

The crew then got underway to conduct two-boat training with the 47 Motor Lifeboat and 29 Response Boat Small. The crew practiced proficiency in stern tows, passing dewatering pumps, and man overboard pickups.

At 0330, vessel reported they had run aground near Ballston Beach, Truro Ma (Oceanside).

They have 3 POB and were not taking on water. High tide was 0409 (8.2ft) but doesn’t look like that would have helped them.

We launched the CG47243 to get eyes on and assess the situation along with the CGC WARREN DEYAMPERT. Operator was able to contact owner and arrange for commercial salvage from New Bedford to assist. Vessel has 800 gals of diesel fuel o/b, with a max capacity of 6,240 gals.

Everyone is ok!
