We are so excited to announce the that PVD FanZone is officially open in Station Park! What began as an exciting vision is now a reality and we couldn't be prouder to welcome residents and visitors to Downtown Providence for this historic summer.

The PVD FanZone not only positions Providence as a regional destination during one of the biggest sporting events in the world but it's also an important investment in our local economy. This sporting celebration creates opportunities for small businesses, restaurants, artists and cultural organizations where they can share their talents with visitors from near and far.

The PVD FanZone is open now until July 19 - for more information, check out: pvdfanzone.com

Today, we celebrate an important milestone for Providence students as we break ground on the Robert F. Kennedy Pre-K through 8th grade school. This ground breaking marks more than just construction, it marks the beginning of a new chapter for our students, educators, families and neighborhood.

Since taking office, education has been one of my administration's top priorities, we are not only committed to enhancing access to high-quality education inside but also outside of the classroom for all Providence students.

In an effort to not only increase the amount of recyclable materials diverted from the landfill but to also save tax payer dollars, we've launched a pilot municipal commercial recycling program. This program is part of our EPA SWIFR grant, leading to less overflow, more space in trash receptacles and creating a more sustainable environment.
