SAVE THE DATE!!

We are thrilled to announce an upcoming program to be held on Thursday evening, September 22, 2016, called “Preparing White Families to Raise Children of Color.” This workshop will be presented by Marlene Fine, Ph.D. and Fern Johnson, Ph.D., authors of the recently published “The In*******al Adoption Option: Creating a Family Across Race.”

We are looking forward to helping transracial adoptive families in RI and nearby MA form a more connected community and hope that this program will be the first of many programs and collaborations about race and adoption.

Welcome to the Adoption Options page!

A few things about us…
- Adoption Options is the non-denominational licensed private adoption agency of Jewish Family Service of Rhode Island. We are licensed in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts, and we work with all families.
- Our services include: home studies for domestic and international adoption; comprehensive services for pregnant women or couples considering an adoption plan for a child; a small domestic placement program for newborns; post placement visits and reports; and preparation and resources for adoptees and birth families who are searching.
- As a small local agency we are available to the people we work with on an on-going basis to provide support , answer questions and help our families navigate the often unfamiliar world of adoption. We are invested in our families.

We will be sharing information about adoption, informative articles and updates from our program. Please join us!
