Congratulations to the Mid-Carolina High School Beta Club on their outstanding achievements at the National Senior Beta Club Convention held this past week in Nashville, Tennessee!

Our students represented Mid-Carolina with excellence, dedication, and Rebel pride while competing against some of the best students from across the nation. We are incredibly proud of these students for earning national recognition!

Mid-Carolina High School JROTC Cadets Thomas Boozer, Jazlyn Clark-Gable, Karissa Futrell, Sierra Herod, Alexis Leyva-Pacheco, and Luke Nersinger completed the JROTC Cadet Leadership Challenge (JCLC). JCLC is a rigorous six-day leadership camp held annually at Fort Jackson where approximately 900 Cadets from high school JROTC programs meet. The intent of JCLC is to challenge Cadets in an austere environment and develop their leadership, communication, and social skills.

Special recognition went to Cadet Thomas Boozer as he earned Distinguished Honor Cadet status.

🎶 Mid-Carolina High School Band Spring Concert 🎶

What an incredible evening of music at the Newberry Opera House on Thursday, May 7th! Our talented Mid-Carolina High School Band students showcased their hard work, dedication, and musical excellence during their Spring Concert.

A special thank you and congratulations to our Band Director, Mr. Jackson Farmer, for his leadership, commitment, and passion for music education. His guidance continues to inspire our students to perform at their very best.

We are proud of each and every band student for representing Mid-Carolina High School with professionalism and pride. Thank you to all the families, friends, and community members who came out to support our students and celebrate their achievements.

Only one representative of companies such as Scentsy, Norwex, Pampered Chef, Thirty-One, Mary Kay, Avon, LuLaRoe, PaperPie, etc. will be accepted. Please remember that this is a family-friendly event; the Holiday Market committee reserves the right to decline any entry or vendor application.

🎉🍔❤️ MCHS End-of-Year Celebration Luncheon & Years of Service Celebration – WE MADE IT!!! ❤️🍔🎉

On Thursday, May 21, 2026, our Mid-Carolina High School faculty and staff gathered in the MCHS Cafeteria to celebrate the end of another incredible school year together. We officially made it to the LAST WEEK of the 2025–2026 school year, and what an amazing journey it has been!

This celebration was a time to recognize and appreciate the hard work, dedication, teamwork, and accomplishments of our outstanding faculty and staff members who give so much to our students each and every day.

❤️ Assistant Principal Mrs. Tabitha Harmon will be transitioning to a new role in the District Office within the Office of Instruction.
❤️ Coach Michael Mains will be teaching at River Bluff High School next school year.
❤️ School Resource Officer Rebecca Senn will be serving in a different role with the Sheriff’s Department.

While we will greatly miss each of them, we are excited for their new opportunities and wish them nothing but the very best always!

As we counted down the final days of the 2025–2026 school year, the faculty and staff at Mid-Carolina High School had an amazing time participating in our “Countdown to the End” celebration held May 13 – May 22, 2026! 🎉☀️

Each day brought a new opportunity for our teachers and staff to show their school spirit, creativity, and excitement as summer break drew closer. Our first theme day was Mental Health Awareness Day, and we were proud to kick things off by wearing green in support of mental health awareness. 💚

Faculty and staff members submitted photos of themselves dressed for each day’s theme, and one outstanding participant was selected daily as the “Best Theme Dressed” winner to receive a special prize! 🏆

Most importantly, everyone enjoyed the laughter, fun, and positive energy as we celebrated together during the final days of another successful school year.

Unfortunately, due to how hectic the final two days of school became, pictures were not taken and/or submitted for those last theme days. We truly appreciate everyone who participated and helped make this event such a success!
