Tonight for we had the unique opportunity to host a grain bin rescue class courtesy of the National Education Center for Agricultural Safety. The Butler County Farm Bureau facilitated several departments within Butler County receiving grain bin rescue systems and it is our responsibility to be ready and able to use these systems in a moment's notice. We were joined tonight by members from Portersville and Slippery Rock fire departments as well so that our mutual aid companies could share in this experience. A HUGE "Thank You" to NECAS for taking the time to share your expertise, experience, and equipment with our volunteers!

Station 13 had a visit today from EMS West to complete QRS licensure checks on our vehicles. QRS, or Quick Response Service, certification ensures that our response vehicles meet all compliance through the Pennsylvania Department of Health to dispatch trained medical personnel to treat patients before a transport ambulance arrives. Today, we were able to get Engine 13 added to the list of QRS-certified response vehicles for Prospect Fire Department., joining Brush 13 and Squad 13. We appreciate the endless support that we receive from our communities and look forward to further serving you all in every way that we can!
