EDCO RELEASES LARGEST EMPLOYERS LIST FOR CENTRAL OREGON EDCO - Economic Development for Central Oregon

"This year the top 50 private companies collectively employ 23,764 Central Oregonians, or roughly 21.4% of the region’s February 2025 annual average total non-farm employment of 111,110. St. Charles Health System tops the list again, employing 5,188 people regionwide, an 8.29% increase since last year at the same time."

Business Oregon is excited to announce that the second round of Child Care Infrastructure Funding will be opening March 26th, 2025!

This round will consist of $15,000,000 in grant funding for infrastructure projects that further the wellbeing of children and families in Oregon.

The application will be posted and available on Business Oregon's webpage until the closing date, April 30th, 2025. The updated Guidelines and new RFGA are currently being translated and will be posted in the coming weeks.

Eligible Project Types:
• Minor Renovations/Repairs ($20,000 - $100,000)
• New Construction or Major Renovation ($100,001 - $2,000,000)
• Real Property Acquisition ($20,000 - $2,000,000)

This fund is open to more than just current childcare providers – municipalities, school districts/ESDs, tribes, businesses/nonprofits, and colleges/universities are also encouraged to apply! In addition, they will have another $25 million round coming later this year.
