On March 20th, 2026, Princeton Fire Department responded to a reported confined space rescue assignment. Our members were assisted by responders from Princeton First Aid & Rescue Squad along with mutual aid partners from Plainsboro Township and Princeton Plasma Physics Lab.

Rescue technicians were deployed to check a manhole and tunnel system for potential victims. After a comprehensive search, no victims were located and no injuries were reported.

Please keep yourself and others safe by following these guidelines:
❄️ Only skate in designated and authorized areas
❄️ Never assume ice is safe based on appearance
❄️ Avoid skating alone or in remote locations
❄️ Cold water emergencies can quickly become life-threatening
