The Isaiah 1:17 Project

The Isaiah 1:17 Project Every child & family impacted by foster care matters. We meet physical, spiritual, & emotional needs You can make a difference,
one child at a time!
(1)

Children often enter foster care at a
moment's notice with little or no
possessions of their own. We want to rally
around them to show them, "We see you, we
love you, and you are valued!" Our Bags of
Hope are a tangible act of kindness and love
to help caseworkers, teachers and
counselors, emergency personal, and foster
families ease a bit of trauma for children on
one of the most traumat

ic days of their
lives. Our Bags are filled with age appropriate hygiene kits, pajamas, socks, underwear, books to read and color, stuffed animals, snacks (formula where needed), water, Arby's meal tickets and more! Help us give a bag for today, and hope for tomorrow! Take up the cause of the fatherless by helping a child today!

The Isaiah 1:17 Project and Moore Guitars are teaming up to give TWO young people, ages 12–16, impacted by foster and kinship care the opportunity to receive a brand-new guitar and begin learning to play.

Moore Guitars is generously donating two high-quality entry-level guitars to help launch this special opportunity, along with an initial lesson for each young person selected.

After that, The Isaiah 1:17 Project will help connect each recipient with a mentor who can answer questions, offer encouragement, and occasionally connect through video or in person as they continue learning.

No previous experience is needed. We are simply looking for young people who are interested in learning to play, willing to practice, and excited about the opportunity.

To apply, visit:
https://www.theisaiah117project.org/dreampicker/

Click the link and complete the application. Applications must be in by September 30!

We cannot wait to see who picks up a guitar, learns something new, and discovers what might grow from this opportunity.

Today is the International Day of Charity, and it makes us think about all of the people who make this work possible.

The Isaiah 1:17 Project has never been about one person or one organization doing it all. It is people in our community choosing to step in, give what they can, volunteer their time, donate a needed item, pray for a family, sponsor a program, or simply say, “How can I help?”

Those acts of kindness add up. They become beds, bikes, birthday gifts, Christmas presents, support for foster families, encouragement for caseworkers, and so much more.

We are incredibly thankful for every person, church, business, and organization that has come alongside us.

You help make hopes and dreams real for children and families impacted by foster and kinship care. And we are so grateful to do this work alongside you.

Birthdays should feel special.

There should be a moment when a child realizes that today is their day. That someone remembered. That someone knows what they like. That their life is worth celebrating.

That's why we are so excited to launch something new for the families in our Fortifying Fostering Families (F3) program.

The Birthday Store is officially launching.

Through the Birthday Store, our F3 families will have another way to make birthdays meaningful for the children in their homes.

Families will be able to choose gifts specifically for their child, and our volunteers will help make sure those gifts are wrapped and ready to go home for their celebration.

But this is about so much more than presents.

It's about coming alongside parents and caregivers in a practical way while preserving dignity. It's about making one more part of the journey a little easier. And it's about making sure children know that their lives are worth celebrating.

F3 was created so foster and kinship families would know they don't have to do this alone. The Birthday Store is simply one more way we get to live that out.

We can't wait to celebrate a whole lot of birthdays.

Because every child deserves to feel loved, seen, heard, and valued.

This Thankful Thursday, we have a lot to be thankful for.

What a weekend!

We are incredibly grateful to the Knights of Columbus for choosing The Isaiah 1:17 Project as the benefiting organization for this year's pickleball tournament.

Thank you to every person who planned, organized, played, volunteered, sponsored, cheered, and helped make the weekend possible.

When people in our community choose to use something they enjoy to help someone else, pretty incredible things can happen.

The tournament may be over, but the impact of your generosity will continue through the children and families we have the privilege of serving.

Thank you, Knights of Columbus, for being part of it.

The August Impact Report is here.

Because of you, 16 fostering families and 5 kinship care families received support throughout the month. That means 60 children in fostering families and 27 children in kinship care were connected to resources, encouragement, and people who care.

87 Dream Boxes made their way to children, bringing a little comfort and joy during seasons that can feel anything but ordinary.

And while some of our numbers looked different this month, the impact didn’t stop there. August brought opportunities for families to connect, children to be encouraged, and our community to show up in meaningful ways.

Behind every number is a child. A family. A need that was met. A reminder that they are seen, valued, and not alone.

That is what your support makes possible.

Thank you for continuing to show up for children and families impacted by foster and kinship care.

Happy Birthday to everyone celebrating in September!

As you celebrate another year, consider making your birthday even more meaningful by creating a Facebook Birthday Fundraiser to support children and families impacted by foster and kinship care.

Instead of gifts, you can invite your friends and family to make a donation that helps provide practical resources through programs like Bags of Hope, Dream Boxes, and Dream Cycles. Every contribution helps us continue serving local children and the families who open their hearts and homes to them.

It only takes a few minutes to create a fundraiser, but the impact can extend far beyond your birthday.

Create your birthday fundraiser here:
https://www.facebook.com/fund/TheIsaiah117Project/?__tn__=-UK*F

If you're celebrating this month, we'd be honored if you chose to support our mission. Happy Birthday from all of us, and thank you for helping make a difference in the lives of children and families in our community.
