Let’s take a look at what happened at the Monday, June 8, Princeton City Council meeting.

Employee Experience
Council recognized the Employee Experience Department for receiving the 2026 Human Resources Impact Award of Distinction from the Texas Municipal Human Resources Association (TMHRA) in the population category of 25,000 or more residents.

Infrastructure and Capital Projects
Council considered several items focused on maintaining and expanding city infrastructure, including:

• Awarding an on-call road construction contract to support future roadway projects.
• Adoption of a Vehicle and Equipment Replacement Fund Policy to assist with long-term fleet planning.
• Approval of updates to the City’s Purchasing Policy and Procedures.

Public Safety Initiatives
Council considered several items regarding public safety, including:

• Discussed potential land options for the future Princeton Police Department facility.
• Approved regulations governing electric micro-mobility devices, such as e-scooters and similar transportation devices.
• Proposed updates to the City’s S*x Offender Ordinance and provided direction for future revisions.
