One in five rural hospitals in Illinois is at risk of closing, including one right here in our district. Over the last year, I've heard from so many people who struggle to afford insurance and medical bills.
Our healthcare system should prioritize patient access, quality of care, and health outcomes, not corporate greed and shareholder profits.
The system is failing working families and we've got to meet the challenge head on.
