Griggstown Fire Company - Station 35

Today members traveled to West Chester training facility for live fire training with our friends from Falls Township Fire Company #1 engine 35 performed multiple engine company evolutions while the Falls boys practiced truck work. Some of our members got the chance to get into some truck work as well. It's not often we get to train with out of state companies, but getting a look at diffrent ways to do things help to add to our knowledge. Special thanks to Michael Bradshaw for making this happen!

On Sunday, May 17, 2026, Tanker 35 was requested into Edison onto I-287 near Route 27 (exit 2A) for the large vehicle MVC with a gasoline tanker truck on fire. We joined several tankers from Middlesex on a tanker task force to supply water to a large foam operation to manage the large flammable liquids fire. T35 was on scene for 4+ hours transporting several loads of water from a hydrant source on Route 27 to the scene. See video in comments.

On Saturday April 11th Griggstown Vol Fire Co. Was honored to host a dedication for our military MIA/POWs

George Rude from Griggstown Farms generously donated a memorial chair in honor of those that never returned. The event was run by Rolling Thunder Inc. the dedication had over 60 people from 3 states. Griggstown Farm also provided some of their unique foods afterward. We are greatful for the support George and the Farm provide us.

On BOX 3502 2nd Alarm “non-hydrant area,” all Franklin Fire District 2 companies were dispatched. Initially reported as an interior smoke condition, the assignment was quickly upgraded when active fire was discovered in the interior rooms on the 1st floor. An aggressive interior attack was conducted to stop the progression of the fire. Since no hydrants are located in the area, several water tankers were requested from other fire departments along with the use of a 10,000 gallon in-ground water tank to provide water to the attack engine in the driveway.
