Members of the Princeton Senior High School cheer team had the opportunity to try out for the prestigious honor of being named an All-American cheerleader at the NCA Cheer camp this week. Of those who were nominated and tried out, five cheerleaders were named All-American cheerleaders: Katherine Adegoke, Christina Hong, Triniti Trimble, Sophia Martinez and Mari Moncier-Mason. One of the mascots, Hayden Brister, tried out and was named an All-American mascot, as well.

The Princeton Senior High School cheer program attended the NCA cheer camp this week at the Ga***rd Texan in Grapevine. The varsity cheer team was in the highest large varsity division and held their own on the final competition day, showing their elite skills and receiving a superior ribbon for all three routines. The JV cheer team won Top Chant in the large JV division, as well as a superior ribbon for their cheer. The freshman cheer team competed in the small freshman division and received an award for crowd effectiveness. All three teams earned the coveted spirit stick to take home on the final day.

Even after the last day of school, students in the choir program at Princeton Senior High School were still hard at work. They traveled to Austin to compete at the UIL State Solo & Ensemble Contest where their talent and dedication earned an impressive 17 gold medals and six silver medals.

In addition to their outstanding success, the choir program celebrated a historic milestone as Nahomy Castro and Jalena Garcia became the first choir students in school history to earn the prestigious Outstanding Performer Award.

The Star Polisher Award is voted on anonymously by staff. During the voting process, staff members share words about how each nominee is positively impacting students and/or fellow staff members at Smith.

Princeton ISD will be part of the national summer meals program.

All children, 18 years and younger, are eligible for free summer meals, but all meals must be consumed onsite and cannot be taken off campus.
