Hey Gibson County! We hope you all have a fun and safe summer planned for your kids and that back to school thoughts are far away!

As of today we have 89 children in our program. 59 of them are of school age and will need help getting school supplies. Every year we are very intentional with school supplies and we purchase EVERY item from every child's list.
Often we are asked about physical donations but have a hard time accepting them because we purchase the specific items needed and we don't have a ton of space to store extras.

This year we have made a Wishlist of items we know the children will need to help us get started. It takes us all summer to collect lists, purchase, organize, and pack the supplies for all of our children so we start as early as we can.

Thank you to all of our community members that have donated in the past and continue to support the children in our program. We appreciate it more than you know!

There are more than 60 children in our program that do not have an assigned CASA volunteer. If you would like to advocate for abused and neglected children in our county, please apply on our website to become a volunteer.

Happy Easter! Because of donations from our community, our volunteers are able to make Easter baskets for the children that they advocate for. It is so rewarding to see their faces light up when they receive their basket!

We would like to give a huge thank you to Princeton Elks 634! They donated a very large amount of hygiene items for all ages and baby items such as toys and teethers for us to use in our “welcome bags”. When a CASA volunteer is assigned to children, they take a welcome bag to their first meeting. These bags contain hygiene items, games, puzzles, small toys, coloring books, etc. These bags help break the ice during that first meeting, and some families need extra help with hygiene items while their case is open. We appreciate this donation so much!

Happy Valentine’s Day from us in the office. Just a reminder that the Courthouse is closed on Monday 2/16.
