Prince George Volunteer Fire Department Co. 1 Prince George Volunteer Fire Department Co. 1 is located in Prince George, Virginia. Our department responds to over 750 calls every year.

Company 1 originated October 31,1957 by a group of 48 men and women who recognized the need for fire protection in the community and pioneered the fire system of Prince George County for those to follow. We have evolved into a group of dedicated active volunteers who serve the county 24/7/365. Engine 1, Engine 12, Truck 1, Tanker 1, Squad 1, Brush 1, Jeep 1, Utility 1, Support 1, Responder 1, Haz-

This gear includes at least the following: Bunker Coat, Bunker Pants, Suspenders, Boots, Nomex Hood, Helmet & Gloves. Does a set of gear hang on this rack for you? Come join us tonight at 7 p.m.! Are you 14 or 15 years old and interested in learning about firefighting, teamwork, leadership, and public service? Our Fire Department Explorer Post is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience and learn what it takes to serve your community!

📍 Ages: 14 & 15
📅 Meetings: Every Monday
⏰ Time: 6:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
💲 Cost: FREE!

Explorers will have the chance to:
🔥 Learn basic firefighting skills
🚑 Explore emergency services careers
🤝 Build teamwork and leadership skills
🚒 Train alongside firefighters in a safe environment

Lots of pools are opening this weekend & water safety is a top priority for the summer!

Drowning is silent, fast, and preventable. Drowning is the leading cause of unintentional injury death for children ages 1-4 in the U.S.

Safety Tips:
• Designate a “Water Watcher”
• Install a fence with a self-latching gate
• Empty kiddie pools after use
• Learn CPR
