The Floyd County Chamber of Commerce is proud to highlight Pikeville Medical Center's Oncology Services, where patients receive advanced cancer treatments, compassionate support, and expert care without having to leave the mountains they call home.

Since its founding in 2009, the Foundation for Appalachian Kentucky has invested more than $50 million back into Appalachian Kentucky, awarding over 15,800 grants and scholarships that have touched lives across our region. Their work spans everything from education and scholarships to disaster relief, economic development, entrepreneurship, community leadership, housing initiatives, and support for local nonprofits.

When our communities have faced challenges, the Foundation has been there. Following major flooding events, they have distributed millions of dollars to families, small businesses, farms, schools, and recovery organizations, helping our region rebuild and recover stronger than before. Their innovative programs and impact investments continue to create jobs, support local businesses, and strengthen the future of Appalachia.

The Foundation for Appalachian Kentucky believes that the best solutions come from local people making local decisions. Through philanthropy, partnerships, and community-driven investment, they are helping ensure that Appalachian Kentucky continues to rise where it's rooted.
