Let’s welcome the newest member to Morehead State ROTC, Cadet Luke Osborn.

He decided to fully commit and accept a Dedicated National Guard College Scholarship giving him:
-100% State Tuition
-$6,000/semester for Room and Board
-$600/semester for Books
-$420/month ROTC Stipend
-$330/month for Drill Pay.

He will graduate and commission as a Second Lieutenant after the upcoming Spring semester.

Let’s welcome and congratulate Ca’Mareon Hooten on his enlistment into the Kentucky Army National Guard!

Ca’Mareon is from Wi******er, KY and enlisted as a 92F - Petroleum Supply Specialist. He plans to continue his education at Morehead State and participate in ROTC, earning a commission as a 2nd Lieutenant once he graduates. He received a $20,000 bonus and the Montgomery GI Bill PLUS the GI Bill Kicker for school.

Getting 100% Tuition, $466/mo. GI Bill, $350/mo. GI Bill Kicker, and $330 for 2 days a month. After contracting he will also earn a $420 cadet stipend and a $2400 per semester room waiver (ONLY OFFERED AT MOREHEAD STATE).

Please help me congratulate Charles Potter, a student at Morehead State University, on his decision to enlist as a 09R-ROTC Cadet and continue his journey with Morehead State ROTC in the Simultaneous Membership Program.

Charles is a Psychology major and took advantage of the National Guard’s NO BASIC TRAINING option with this MOS choice to not miss any school and enjoy military benefits.

Charles plans to finish his degree and commission as a Second Lieutenant after graduating from MSU.

He will receive 100% State Tuition Assistance, $330/mo. for drill, $420/mo. ROTC stipend, and the opportunity to earn a commission for Actuve Duty upon graduation.

Big shoutout to Zarriyyah Brown and Tim Wilson for their enlistments this week!

Zarriyyah is from Lexington, KY and plans to use her 100% State Tuition Assistance to continue her education and earn a 4-year degree. She enlisted as a 42A-Human Resources Specialist and will be with HHB, 2/138th FA BN in Lexington one weekend a month.

She also received a $7,500 bonus and a GI Bill to use for school.

Tim is from Morehead, KY and also plans to continue his education at Morehead State and participate in ROTC, earning a commission as a 2nd Lieutenant once he graduates. He received a $7,500 bonus and a GI Bill for school.

Getting 100% Tuition, $466/mo. GI Bill, $350/mo. GI Bill Kicker, and $300 for 2 days a month.

Help me congratulate PVT Blake Fitzgerald on his enlistment into the Kentucky Army National Guard.

PVT Fitzgerald has enlisted as a 12N - Horizontal Construction Engineer and will attend Basic Training and AIT this January after his first college semester.

PVT Fitzgerald received a $20,000 bonus + $350/mo. GI Bill Kicker, on top of a $439/mo. GI Bill and 100% State Tuition Assistance.

PVT Fitzgerald plans to continue his degree at Morehead State University and contract with ROTC after training to earn a commission as a U.S. Army Officer.

Let’s congratulate Alyssa Blair on her achievements both in the court and in the classroom.

She has been a great student, earning a 3.7 GPA, as well as getting 20 kills and 22 assists for the Volleyball team in the month of October.

For her accolades, Alyssa has been awarded the Kentucky Army National Guard’s October Student Athlete of the Month!!

This young man is Top 10 in the state for rushing yards as well as maintaining a 3.0+ GOA.
