Saturday, August 1, we kicked off our Shoot the Moon promotion. We have set a goal to reach 200,000 checkouts by July 31, 2027, and in doing so, we want to reward you for visiting your library. For every 10 items you check out, you will receive one entry into a weekly drawing. Each weekly drawing will be placed in a monthly drawing. All entries will be placed into a year-end promotional drawing, but you have to come to your Floyd County Public Library and check out items to enter.

What are the weekly prizes? Book (tote) bags with our logo on them. You are eligible with each entry to win a book bag.

What are the monthly prizes? We have umbrellas with our logo on them. Participating patrons are eligible to win one umbrella.

What is the year-end prize? A big screen TV.

Beginning August 1st, we are launching a drive to reach 200,000 checkouts by the end of the fiscal year. We will be holding weekly and monthly prize drawings. For every ten items you check out, you will get one entry into our promotional drawing. The weekly registrations will be added to the monthly drawing every Monday. The monthly entries will be placed in a year-end drawing for a great end-of-the-fiscal-year prize. Come out and help us reach 200,000.
