On Monday, February 23, 2026, Adan Panzo entered a plea of guilty to two counts of malice murder for the 2024 murder of one-year-old and three-year-old siblings by arson in Webster County. Chief Judge Smith sentenced the defendant to two consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole. This case was prosecuted by DA Lewis R. Lamb with the assistance of DA Investigator Stephen Douglas, Victim Advocate LeeAnn Turner. The case was investigated by Lieutenant Daniel Weeks of the Webster County Sheriff's Office and Region 3 office of the GBI.

Our thoughts and prayers remain with the families of the victims, and we honor the first responders who have carried the weight of this tragedy.
