THANK YOU EVERYONE for coming out to our summer get together tonight in Lanesboro and making it a success. Thank you to Stumpy's Concessions and Los Vaqueros Taqueria for the great food options. We are so fortunate to have great volunteers on our service. We can’t thank them enough for everything they do. We can’t wait to do this again next year! Hopefully the rain stays away 😃 P.S. we are always looking for more volunteers to help serve our communities.

I’m not a meteorologist but to me it looks like the rain has cleared and the sun is out! Stumpy's Concessions and Los Vaqueros Taqueria are set up at the Lanesboro Community Center on the north side of the building. We will be here from 5-8 tonight. We also have tables set up in the community center gym if the rain decides to come back. Face painting starts at 6 and is free!

Tomorrow's Summer Get Together at Sylvan Park in Lanesboro will be a great time for the whole family. Despite any weather conditions, we will proceed with the festivities, offering a variety of entertainment options for the whole family. These include free face painting between 6-8 PM, a bubble station, and complimentary Freezies and juice. Visitors can enjoy food from Stumpy's Concessions and Los Vaqueros Taqueria. We’re looking for volunteers to help water the flower baskets around the courthouse square on weekends and holidays throughout the summer. A little time goes a long way in keeping downtown looking beautiful!

As part of EMS Week, today is dedicated to Education Day. Our EMS providers benefit from continuing education provided by the Southeast Minnesota Emergency Medical Services Consortium. Additionally, Preston EMS delivers community education through CPR/First Aid classes and Stop the Bleed courses. SE MN Emergency Medical Services

We hope everyone had a great Trout Days Weekend! We’re switching gears now as today is the start of EMS Week! Thank you to all the EMS providers out there!

In 1974, President Gerald Ford authorized EMS Week™ to celebrate EMS professionals and the important work they do in our nation's communities. National Emergency Medical Services Week brings together local communities and medical personnel to honor the dedication of those who provide the day-to-day lifesaving services of medicine's frontline.

EMS Week is presented by the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) in partnership with the National Associations of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT).

Together, NAEMT and ACEP lead annual EMS Week activities. These organizations are working to ensure that the important contributions of EMS professionals in safeguarding the health, safety and well-being of their communities are fully celebrated and recognized.

Many of your local services will have numerous activities in celebration of EMS week. Check their webpages or social media for events!

THANK YOU everyone who came out to our 14th annual Steak Dinner! The rain held off just long enough and the weather was great. A huge thank you goes out to the Fillmore County Cattlemen's, Oak Meadow Meats,Preston Floral and Gift,Preston Area Community Foundation,Preston Foods and Compeer Financial for helping make this event possible. Last but not least thank you to the amazing active and retired volunteers from the Preston Emergency Services. With the help of everyone we were able to serve over 700 meals last night!
