The passage of this levy will allow us to maintain several important positions within our district while also helping offset the increasing costs associated with technology and extracurricular activities. Your support plays a vital role in providing quality opportunities and resources for our students.

Dear Preston School District Patrons,

I am pleased to share that the track is now open for public use. We are happy to offer this space to the community and hope it becomes a place where you can safely enjoy walking and running.

To help us maintain the track and keep it available for everyone, we ask that all users follow a few important guidelines. Posted signage outlines these rules, but as a reminder, please use the outer three lanes when on the track. The facility is intended for walking and running only; wheeled items—including bicycles, strollers, skateboards, and scooters—are not permitted, as they can damage the surface and surrounding equipment. Pets are also not allowed on the track.

Additionally, please note that all field event equipment and areas—including the pole vault and high jump mats, as well as the shot put and long jump sand pits—are off limits for public use. These areas are reserved for school athletic programs and require proper supervision and maintenance.

We appreciate your cooperation in caring for this shared resource so it can remain open and in good condition for all.

Preston Joint School District would like to congratulate Sheena Jones on recently receiving the Bridge of Hope Award from CAPSA in recognition of her work supporting student mental health and wellness. We would also like to thank Fades Barber Shop for their generous donation to help support ongoing mental health efforts within our schools.
As the district continues planning for the future, the upcoming levy includes funding that would help support student mental health services, including the district counselor position currently held by Sheena Jones.
We appreciate the continued support of our students, staff, and community.

Thank you to all of our parents, community members, emergency responders, and staff who participated in today’s countywide earthquake exercise. Practicing our reunification procedures in a controlled setting allows us to identify both our strengths and areas where we can improve in the event of a real emergency.
We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation throughout the day. At this time, all junior high students who were not picked up during reunification have returned to the school and will go home through their normal end of day procedures.

Today we are participating in the countywide earthquake exercise through out the day. Expect extra police and fire presence at schools.
