🔆 Board Member Spotlight 🔆
Board Member Danny MacDonald’s career has been centered on education, leadership and workforce development. He currently works with Eastern Aroostook Adult and Community Education in RSU 39 and has experience spanning middle school, secondary and post-secondary education, including both teaching and administrative roles. In addition to his work in education, MacDonald has been an entrepreneur and brings a broad perspective on workforce and community needs. He holds a master’s degree in education and has completed graduate work in government studies.
MacDonald is actively involved in numerous organizations throughout northern Maine. In addition to serving on the Community Action in Aroostook, Washington and Hancock Counties Board of Directors, he is a board member, policy committee member and youth committee member with the Northeast Workforce Development Board. He also serves as a board member for Atlantic Salmon for Northern Maine Inc. and is a member of the Caribou Regional Technology Center Advisory Committee. Within his school district, he participates in a variety of committees that support educational programs and student success.
When he is not focused on education and community service, MacDonald enjoys outdoor sports, such as camping, fishing and hunting. He also enjoys working with wood and metal.

WIC Aroostook is now offering appointments on the third Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. to help make services more accessible.

🔆 Board Member Spotlight 🔆
Board member Lauren Sachs works at Healthy Acadia as the Recovery Response Coordinator and PROSPER Health Navigator. She also works with Safe Harbor Recovery Home for women and their children in Washington County. Through these roles, Sachs brings valuable experience supporting individuals and families and strengthening recovery resources within the community.
Sachs is involved in the community as a board member of Axiom Adult Education She is also active in a local in Neighbor Group. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in psychology and community studies and a Mental Health and Rehabilitation Technician certificate.
In her spare time, Sachs enjoys spending time with family, sharing family meals, attending her children's sporting events, hiking and swimming.

🔆 Board Member Spotlight 🔆
Board member Bruce Thibeault works at Loring Job Corps Center in Limestone where he is part of the safety and security committee. Thibeault brings extensive public service, emergency management and community leadership experience to the board. Through his work with Caribou Fire and Ambulance, the Aroostook County Emergency Management Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC), the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars, Thibeault has developed a strong commitment to serving and supporting communities across Aroostook County.
Regarding his involvement with Community Action in Aroostook, Washington and Hancock Counties, Thibeault currently serves as chair of the agency’s Policy Council in addition to being a member of the board. His longstanding dedication to community service and advocacy provides valuable insight into the organization’s mission of helping individuals and families achieve greater self-sufficiency.
Through his professional and volunteer roles, Thibeault remains actively engaged in efforts that support veterans, emergency preparedness and community well-being throughout the region.
