A non-traditional career is a career in which less than 25% of the workforce is of one gender, such as nursing for males and automotive technology for females. The purpose of the page is to explore the benefits and challenges of pursuing a non-traditional career. Students are encouraged to share personal experiences in their programs, give advice, and offer support to one another. Feel free to sha

re comments as they pertain to men and women in the workforce, specifically in non-traditional careers. Please be respectful of others and keep language and content appropriate. The Spring Semester Dean's List highlights the hard work of many NMCC students. Congratulations!

NMCC Announces Spring 2023 Dean's List
Aroostook County — Northern Maine Community College has released its Dean’s List for the 2023 spring semester. To earn a place on the list, students must achieve a 3.2-grade point average (GPA) or above. While 193 students earned a place on the list, 54 students had the distinction of earning above a 3.85 GPA. NMCC faculty and staff celebrate these students’ hard work and academic achievement.

The College offers over 30 associate degree and certificate-level programs, preparing students to enter the workforce immediately upon graduation or transfer to a four-year college or university. NMCC is one of seven colleges in the Maine Community College System.

*Achieved a 3.85 or above
