Willow Way Little Free Library Charter #47340 Prescott has another Little Free Library, this new LFL will join the movement to share books, bring people together and create communities of readers.

This newest library is hosted by a mother and son that would like to share their love of books and reading with their community. Both have dyslexia and have overcome lots of obstacles with their specific learning disabilities. Reading has truly become a passion for both and they want to share their story and books with the amazing Corona community. Here’s how it works! We initially stock the Littl

So sad to say I have to take down my LFL on Chiltern Way as of today. Its been an amazing 7 years meeting neighbors and the occasional stranger thinking it was a public library in my house.

We have had thousands of books go through out LFL and loved that we got to share the love of books in our neighborhood.

I will be reinstalled in Prescott, Arizona real soon!

My son and I got to met a great author Eric Delabarre who wrote Saltwater Taffy. I have ordered a couple copies to put in our library, so be sure to keep an eye out.

Endorsed by 12 Teachers of the Year,Saltwater Taffy is a best selling Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Scholastic Book Fair and Mrs. Nelson’s Book Fair children’s book.

Set during the 4th of July weekend, Saltwater Taffyfollows the lives of five young friends as they uncover a treasure map leading to the Lost Treasure of Jean Lafitte.

The discovery thrusts them from one treasure hunting adventure to the next as they try to out-wit, out-think and out-maneuver everyone from a one-legged junk yard man and an overbearing town bully, to the creepy old man living at the top of the hill. Often referred to a Stand By Memeets The Goonies styled adventure, Saltwater Taffy is an award winning children’s book and Accelerated Reader title for school libraries.

Absolutely love my city and the Chamber for helping us celebrate another Little Free Library opening in Corona.

What better way to inspire more reading in our community than another "little" library!

Hi Corona.. I am so happy to be here and starting a Little Free Library with my son Bradley! This has been such a fun thing to do for us both. I was out driving through some of our amazing neighborhood’s looking at house with my son and we saw a box on someone’s front lawn that had books in. We were so stunned and we absolutely loved it! We came home and of course Googled it, that was our 1st time seeing a Little Free Library.
Now you have to understand reading to me when I was a kid was a four letter word I did not like. I now know I have a learning disability- I am dyslexic and so is my son. When I was in school I had a very hard time learning and I was removed from my school in 1st grade and was bused every day to a school that had a special education class. In the late 70s early 80s not all schools had a special ed class like now. I was so unhappy and hated school. I never wanted to read books and dreaded when we had to in class and for homework.
I had not picked up a book until I was in my 30s.. I know crazy but it’s totally true. My 2 older daughters have dyslexia to and thankfully schools have improved so much that they had some struggles but not at all like I did. So like I said I had not read a book until I was 30 something, now I read constantly! I love books, eBooks and audio books. My son has grown up with me reading and he loves it too. He is my crazy boy that I know will always be up for fun adventures and project like this.
So that brings us to this day.. we found some other LFL and we have been hooked ever since.

I am so happy to say we got our charter number and our once nasty free cabinet is now a beautiful Little Free Library.
