FATAL COLLISION
(11/5/2025)

On Tuesday, November 4th, 2025, at approximately 7:22 PM, The Prescott Police Department responded to a vehicle collision near the intersection of Willow Lake Road and Pine Drive.

Through the investigation it was determined that a 40-year-old Prescott Valley resident, was driving a 2018 Kawasaki motorcycle eastbound on Willow Lake Road when another vehicle, a 2017 Ford Escape, driven by a 56-year-old Prescott resident, attempted to make a left turn onto Pine Drive in front of the motorcycle when the two vehicles collided.

The Prescott Fire Department and EMS personnel provided medical aid to the motorcyclist at the scene. The motorcyclist, who was wearing a helmet, was transported to the Yavapai Regional Medical Center, but unfortunately died due to his injuries. The driver of the Ford Escape was not injured but was issued a citation related to the cause of the crash. Impairment does not appear to be a factor in this collision.

The Prescott Police Department's Traffic Safety Section is actively investigating the collision and request that anyone who may have witnessed the incident contact Officer Reed at 928-777-1943.

Halloween Weekend Wrap-Up! 🎃

A special thank you goes out to our incredible Citizens on Patrol team for their hard work and dedication to our community. They transported and manned our Mobile Command Unit and handled all of the intersection closures along Mt. Vernon Street during Halloween Night. Events like this wouldn’t be possible without the time and commitment of these amazing volunteers!

We also want to give a shoutout to the Prescott Regional Communications Center team who celebrated Halloween on the other side of the radio, keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

And of course, a special nod to one of our volunteers who made sure the baseball games were on while holding down the fort — talk about multitasking!

Thank you to everyone who helped make this Halloween another safe and successful one here in Prescott! 🕸️🦇

Happy Halloween, Prescott!

As you head out for trick-or-treating or Halloween festivities this weekend, please remember to celebrate safely.

🚫 Don’t drink and drive! Plan ahead with a designated driver, rideshare, or friend to make sure everyone gets home safely.
👀 Keep an eye out for trick-or-treaters crossing the street.
💡 Slow down and stay alert in neighborhoods.
🍬 Parents, make sure kids carry flashlights or glow sticks to stay visible.

From all of us at the Prescott Police Department, have a safe and fun weekend!
Let’s keep Halloween full of treats — not tragedies.👻

TRI-CITY DUI TASK FORCE TO CONDUCT HALLOWEEN WEEKEND DUI ENFORCEMENT
(10/29/2025)

The Prescott, Prescott Valley, and Chino Valley Police Departments, along with the Arizona Department of Public Safety and the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, will once again join forces as the Tri-City DUI Task Force to conduct Halloween weekend DUI saturation patrols.

Enforcement details will take place throughout the Halloween weekend and are supported by grant funding from the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS). Additional officers will be working dedicated DUI enforcement overtime with the goal of identifying and removing impaired drivers from the road before tragedies occur.

The Tri-City DUI Task Force remains committed to keeping our roadways safe through high-visibility, zero-tolerance enforcement. Drivers can expect to see increased patrols and proactive traffic enforcement in and around the Tri-City area.

Halloween is meant for costumes and candy, not flashing lights and handcuffs. If you’re planning to celebrate, don’t let a bad decision ruin your night. Plan a sober ride; use a rideshare, taxi, or designated driver. Don’t let impaired driving turn your Halloween into a real horror story.
