Discover Prescott’s Pollinators!
Join us for a family-friendly Parks for Pollinators BioBlitz and help discover the plants, insects and animals that call our parks home! Using the free iNaturalist app, participants will work alongside park staff to photograph and identify pollinators while creating a snapshot of the species found in the park. The information collected helps us better understand and protect pollinators and the habitats they depend on.

Get to Know Your Water Use!
As part of the City’s water meter replacement program, older meters are being upgraded to new models that offer optional access to EyeOnWater, a free online portal that helps you track your water use and set leak alerts.
Join us September 2 to learn:
* How EyeOnWater can help you spot leaks early
* How to better understand your daily water use
* When meter upgrades will take place in your neighborhood
* Water conservation tips to help save water and money
Free water-saving items will be available, and City staff will be on hand to help you set up your EyeOnWater account.

Prescott’s Future Starts With You.
What should Prescott look like 10, 20 or even 30 years from now? You have a voice in shaping that future. The City of Prescott is updating its General Plan. This a long-term blueprint that helps guide decisions about growth, development, housing, transportation, parks, open space, and more. We want to hear from you. Join us for a General Plan Community Open House on September 3 and share what you value about Prescott, what you want to see in the future, and what you think matters most as our community grows.

Meet Your City Council Members & City Staff!
The City of Prescott is at the Prescott Farmers Market on the first Saturday of each month to connect with the community, answer questions and hear from residents. This month, Councilman Patrick Grady will be joined by the Prescott Regional Airport team. Stop by on September 5, say hello and learn more about what’s happening in your City!
Labor Day Holiday Closures
City of Prescott offices will be closed Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day.
Please note the following holiday schedule:
* Prescott Public Library: Closed
* Transfer Station: Closed
* Solid Waste Collection: Pick-up will be delayed for the week. For details visit prescottrecycles.com
Regular hours and collection schedules will resume Tuesday, September 8.

Hear a Story of Courage and Survival
Join us on September 8 for a special presentation with Dirk Van Leenen, author and Holocaust survivor, as he shares his firsthand experiences growing up in the Netherlands during World War II. Van Leenen will discuss his family’s efforts to hide and help Jewish people during the N**i occupation, as well as his family’s imprisonment at Westerbork concentration camp. Now an Arizona resident and author of three books about his experiences, Van Leenen continues to share his story with audiences to help preserve the history and lessons of the Holocaust.
We invite you to join us for this important opportunity to hear history through the words of someone who lived it.

Girls in Aviation Day 2026
Young people ages 6–18 are invited to explore the many opportunities in aviation at Girls in Aviation Day on September 19 at the Embry-Riddle flight line.
Participants can experience flight simulators, tour an air traffic control lab, enjoy hands-on activities and meet aviation students and professionals, including guest speaker Jeannie Leavitt, the U.S. Air Force’s first female fighter pilot.
