As we close out EMS Week, we're celebrating the unsung heroes who keep us mission-ready and safe – our aviation maintenance technicians (AMTs). They're a humble group who work behind the scenes, but their impact is felt on every mission. From routine maintenance to critical repairs, our AMTs ensure that when the call comes in, our aircraft are ready to respond. Their skill, dedication, and attention to detail make all the difference. Please help us give a big shout-out to our amazing maintenance team! At Native 4 and Native 14, we have Kyle, Brandon, and Brian! 🛠️🚁

Sometimes there are situations, and crews, that go quite literally, above and beyond! This mission involved a lot of teamwork, and a lot of outside the box problem solving. 🚁🚒
But a break in the action provided time for a quick crew selfie, too. 🤷‍♂️

Native 4 is happy to introduce an addition to our team...Meet our newest flight paramedic, Doug! 🚁
He began their EMS career at 18 years old and comes from a strong fire service background, with multiple generations of firefighters in his family, including his dad, uncles, grandparents, and brother. Today, he continues that connection to emergency medicine alongside his wife, who also works as a flight medic, but at our base in Quartzite. He and his wife have an adorable daughter, and we are excited to welcome their whole family to ours!
Before transitioning into flight medicine, Doug spent several years working as a firefighter/paramedic. His move into flight was driven by a desire to continue growing professionally and pursue a deeper passion for critical care medicine.
Outside of work, he enjoys off-roading and building cars. And for a random fun fact: he can solve a Rubik’s Cube in under a minute, sometimes as fast as 30 seconds!
We’re excited to have Doug on the Native 4 team and can’t wait to see all he accomplishes in this next chapter!
