It was a great day for a Community Ed trip to Kinstone (outside of Fountain City) - beautiful weather and two stops at Nelson's Creamery (an early lunch & then ice cream)! Kinstone is a Modern Megalithic Garden - “Modern” means it was built recently (began in 2011); “Megalithic” means that it consists of very large stones, and “Garden” means a space to grow plants. Visitors find acres of standing stones amidst tall grass prairie as well as berries, fruit, and nut trees and raised bed gardens.
